Coordinator, Records Control and Lab-Ops

Augurex Life Sciences Corp, hiring within the Biotech / Medtech industry, has an immediate opening for a Coordinator, Records Control and Lab-Ops.

SUMMARY

As a member of Quality Assurance (QA) and Product Development (PD) cross-functional team, this role is responsible for:

  • Processing, maintaining, and retrieving Augurex quality records, including document change requests, coordinating the Augurex training, and supplier control programs as well as handling general administrative responsibilities.
  • Laboratory Operations (Lab-Ops) activities related to raw material and serum inventory in support of Augurex current and pipeline projects.

The ideal individual will have high attention to detail and ability to plan and prioritize during high and low-volume work times. The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, high-performing collaborative environment, and has exceptional oral and written communication skills.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • QA responsibilities:
    • Process Change Requests to completion and manage controlled document distribution and retrieval, coordinate training, maintain employee training, supplier and equipment records and provide support with managing contracts.
    • Lead the implementation of the electronic QMS system while maintaining the paper system in parallel until the full transition.
    • Assist in drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), production related documents and documents related to Augurex Product Development activities.
    • Maintain the inventory recall capabilities in collaboration with Supply Chain Management and assist with hosting internal and other Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
  • Lab-Ops responsibilities:
    • Become familiar with Fishbowl ERP and assist with maintaining Augurex R&D inventory.
    • Respond to facilities, landlord and/or subtenant issues and other tasks as assigned.
    • This role requires physical presence at Augurex premises.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Outstanding computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat or equivalent); familiarity with computer shortcuts and being comfortable with trying out and learning new software is a must have.
  • Minimum a Diploma in life sciences or related field with 3+ years of experience in biotech industry Quality Assurance and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with eQMS as well as ISO 13485, CLSI guidance and/or other laboratory standards and regulations is required; experience in medical device, pharma or other regulated industries’ manufacturing is a strong asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, coordination skills, and ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
